Last night was our first homestudy visit for the adoption of number 2. It was rather uneventful and wasn't nearly as nervewracking as our very first homestudy for Sophie! The same social worker, Amy, conducted this set of interviews and really, it was just like sitting down to talk with an old friend. We basically just had to update the changes to our family since Sophie's adoption application and answer questions relating to how we have adjusted to being parents. Easy.
We need one more homestudy visit with Amy, which will most likely take place in about 2 weeks. She needs to "interview" us separately to fill in any gaps in the homestudy report. We will post when we know when that second visit will take place.
Sophie really enjoyed playing with Amy, but seemed to act out after she left. Maybe she gets the sense that something's up...change is a-coming!
Every step in this process is just one more step towards our next miracle.
(Oh, and we just have to throw this in...Rock Chalk Jayhawk!)
